The Church Mouse and Phil's Treehouse have put together their responses to the Seven Link Challenge, which is part of a course designed to improve people's blogging. I feel rather inadequate to take this challenge as I have been blogging such a short time, but here goes:
The idea is to publish a post that is a list of 7 links to posts that you and others have written that respond to the following 7 categories. Your links should be to:
1. Your first post - Book Buying Spree.
It was about how I had bought one book deliberately and two accidentally. The book I had bought deliberately contains a poem that I had written about childhood abuse.
2. A post you enjoyed writing the most - Even More Reasons not to be married to a priest.
3. A post which had a great discussion - Christian Ethics and P*rn*graphy
4. A post on someone else’s blog that you wish you’d written - Behind Enemy Lines.
5. Your most helpful post - Happy Birthday to Me.
6. A post with a title that you are proud of - The country is going to the dogs?
2. A post you enjoyed writing the most - Even More Reasons not to be married to a priest.
Just because it made me laugh.
3. A post which had a great discussion - Christian Ethics and P*rn*graphy
I find the subject tremendously painful and difficult. I think the discussion helped me come to terms with that a bit.
4. A post on someone else’s blog that you wish you’d written - Behind Enemy Lines.
I love the Naked Pastor, and in this post he outlines the manifesto for his church.
5. Your most helpful post - Happy Birthday to Me.
It was my 40th Birthday and helpful to look back and look forwards.
6. A post with a title that you are proud of - The country is going to the dogs?
I think we need a broader debate about homosexuality that isn't dominated by rules based ethics.
So what does this challenge teach me? What it tells me is I am lousy at coming up with good titles! But more than that it tells me how much I benefit from this blog. Thank-you to all who have challenged me, encouraged me, nurtured me and shared your wisdom with me.
